"Tensai Shimura Zoo" (8 March, 2008) Kame with baby otters

Highlights: Someone recently left me a comment saying that my translations deliberately make Kame seem "bitchy." (Maybe my "highlights" comments do, but I don't think my translations deliberately make him seem that way by any means.) Well, I hope that person doesn't watch this clip then, because Kame comes across as a bit of a loser in it (in my opinion). He spends the whole time cooing at the baby otters and ignoring the lady who's trying to talk to him. He reminds me of one of those types who are good with babies & animals, but suck with adults and don't really have any friends. But on the bright side, Kame is VERY GOOD with animals and they seem to love him back too (whereas animals tend to often mistake me for food and bite me!) I mean, I wouldn't put something which otters had slobbered on into my mouth to cut it smaller, but each to their own, I guess.

My favorite parts are where he calls for support from other police officers, when he sees a girl's panties, when he's involved in a gun battle and when he curls up in a ball afraid of a giant balloon that is squashing him.

Sorry, but I haven't been in the mood to work more on Aiba's SCP lately, so it'll still be a couple more weeks before I finish it. I find SCPs boring and Aiba tends to bug me at times (and other times I love him!) so I have to be in the mood to work on that clip.
I'll try to get the last two Kaiki Club episodes out this week so that the series is finished and I'll have time to work on other stuff instead. I'm struggling to find clips that I'm motivated to do at the moment so I'm deliberately ignoring a lot of requests until I'm in the right mood to do them. Why aren't there more cute little Shounen Club clips to sub? They're always my favorite as they are short little talking bits and are really quick to do AND funny~! Anyway, I'll write up a list of requested clips that I'll probably work on in the next few months sometime soon (but first I'll go an old SMAPxSMAP show that I missed when I was away for the month traveling. Yay for procrastination!! *hee hee*)

Their song is catchy, but there is really only one phrase that is repeated a billion times over in it: "Yume mimashou~"

Highlights: My favorite part was Koyama's reaction to Shige's April Fools prank. Gosh, he's a sucker! I also left in a part with a girl with a G-cup bust doing hula hoop just so you can watch Tegoshi's absolute joy at the sight of her swirling her hips around. Ryo doesn't seem at all surprised that Pi must have had practice thrusting his hips all of the previous day (... is it okay if I imagine that practice involving Ryo + a bed...?! I mean, you do get to see Ryo sitting in Pi's lap in this clip, so surely I'm allowed to imagine this scene too!) Oh, and Pi was in a JAWS movie!! And Ryo had a strange fanboy when he was 14... someone who looked a lot, LOT older than him!

Sorry, I accidently left out the part where Shige talks about how he's in the same class as Tanimura at law school (the G-cup girl). Bascially he just says that he's spoken to her 3 times before, but it feels uncomfortable talking to her on this show. I also deliberately left out the part where Tegoshi eats the natto (sticky stibnky beans) pudding, because all he said was "It's really good!" which hardly seemed worth subbing.

I'll work on the Hey!Say!JUMP parts over the next couple of days (it wasn't all that interesting, so I figured I'll leave it and get an early night's sleep instead.)

And thank you to whoever sent me the bear hug~! It made me feel all warm and fuzzy! I love teddy bears and I love hugs! But my favorite part was definitely the sweet comment that went with it. I totally understand about online fandoms sometimes being reallly unkind and all high & mighty. I'm glad that most of the JE fandom is pretty good. *mwah*

Highlights: To promote his new movie "Sushi Ouji," Domoto Koichi from KinKi Kids has released a song under his character's name: Maizu Tsukasa. KAT-TUN's Nakamaru Yuuichi is also in the movie, so he gets stuck trying to demonstrate karate poses in this clip. He fails badly at being a sea turtle, but then Koichi does an even worse job when he tries! I love this "No More" song too. I'm sure Koichi has no idea what he's singing about as it almost completely in English (or rather "Engrish") but it is so catchy! The dance is also pretty cool (depsite the fact that Koichi sucks at dancing.)

Nakamaru is surprised that the KJ8 boys clean up after themselves, while Downtown warn him not to hang out with Kanjani. And besides, weren't KJ8 fired already?! Kame meets famous people at the bathhouse. Oh, and his impersonation is even worse than what NEWS managed to do on this show!

Gosh, I've just noticed that I've actually been quite productive during my vacation! I hadn't realized that I'd managed to sub so many requested clips, but I guess it probably just looks like a lot because most of the clips are really short~!

Highlights: The NEWS member who was voted the most grown-up also thinks he's very handsome and intelligent too (even if he has to say so himself!!) Another member is turning 32 next year, although he isn't the one who seems to be suffereing from memory loss! And guess who wants a live poisonous jellyfish?

My high hopes for being able to upload some stuff over the next couple of days seems to have crashed and burned. I think my hotel in Singapore must be blocking uploading from most sites. Or is it the whole country that can't use Megaupload or Mediafire? And are upload speeds of 3kb/s normal in this part of the world?!

I have a whole stack of things to upload and I should find out tomorrow if I'll have internet in my new apartment straight away, or if I'll have to wait and find time for it to be installed. Please, please let it there be high speed internet already!! Is there a god of super-duper high speed internet that I can go and pray to during this "Singapore's shopping rocks!!" leg of my trip?!

Will he have a cosmic connection that will draw him back into  NEWS eventually?) And Ryo looks more fascinated at the idea of Shige being a rooster than at Yamapi getting to meet Posh & Becks!

Once again it took me almost 2 hours just to upload to Sendspace, which seemed to offer the quickest time out of everything I tried. Don't expect to see me uploading anything else until April, because the other clips I have ready are all well over 100 MB in size, and I'd have to sit in an internet cafe for a week to get them to upload at these speeds! I guess it serves me right for leaving any attempts at uploading until I got to the last country on my whirlwind visit of "countries with sucky internet speeds!" Ha ha~

I'll send you some of the sunshine from here, but not all of it because I'm just about to go out to the beach after I post this and I desperately need a tan so that I don't glow in the dark with my pale skin that isn't used to being under a clear sky. (I'm not missing my old place where the sky was covered with enough pollution to prevent the need for suncream ever!)

(It's taken me 2 hours today to get it to upload just on SS!! I tried earlier in the week to upload it to other sites several times, but it kept saying it would take over 2 hours (!!) and there's no way I'm waiting for more than 2 hours in internet cafes to get such a little clip to upload. So I'll upload to other places in April - please, please let me be able to set up high speed internet as soon as I stop traveling!! And why is it that the countries I'm traveling through don't seem to let me access Mediafire or Clubbox?! *sobs*)

This will be my lucky last release for a while. I had been hoping to get a couple of others done, but I've completely run out of time (and I can't find the raw videos for the short NEWS interviews lately. I fail...) Highlights: Nakamaru's shifty eyes freak me out! Why won't he ever look at Taichi properly? And why do all of his answers sound rehearsed? Usually the guests on this show sound like they're truly speaking from the heart, but Nakamaru just sounds rehearsed to me. It's a pity that I can't seem to bring myself to like him, even after watching this show. The only positive thing I can see going for him is that he has a really sweet friendship with Ueda. And what kind of crack was KinKi's Koichi on?!

I just watched the rest of the show while I was waiting for this to upload and I realized that NEWS talked at other parts of the show too. They didn't say anything too interesting though, so I can't be bothered cutting the little bits out and adding them to this (It was just things like Ryo talking about how he keeps pressing the button on the TV remote in the hotel so that he can watch porn for free for as long as possible! And Shige talking about how he was stopped on the street and he said that he's not allowed to take photos, before realizing they wanted him to take the photo, not be in it!!)
