This clip seems entirely appropriate for me to post right now. Allow me to quote from this clip: "Because of a slight difference in opinions, ... you lose [things]. The feeling of hatred breeds a new hatred." I'm sure I'll be over it by tomorrow, but today I'm seriously thinking of adding KT to my list of JE fandoms that I refuse to sub for. It seems that my busy schedule at work may be a blessing in disguise. Not being able to sub very often will also mean that I won't have to roll my eyes at how silly people are & how seriously they take my "highlights."

Highlights:  Tegoshi talks!!! He speaks a whole 3 words!! (We're lucky because it's 3 words when it's translated to English. In Japanese it's only 1 word! So us English speakers got 3 times more dialog from Tegoshi than the Japanese viewers got! LOL)  And this final episode almost has a plot! Okay, so the almost-plot revolves around a dead dumpling, but it's closer to a plot than we got in the first 3 episodes! The boys were funny looking like policemen directing traffic when they were telling the suicide guy where to jump from! Tegoshi freaked me out when he put his hands over his ears and started moaning like he was possessed by some weird ghost or something. Also you'll get to see Kusano as the worst fake crier EVER (only Massu would ever be fooled by it!)

Highlights: They begin the episode by having an in-depth discussion about the price of wigs!?  Luckily it gets a bit better after that. Shige sexually harasses Tegoshi and waves his crotch in Tegoshi's face  (so that bit from the pacific DVD wasn't the first time Shige's been flirting with Tego!). Kusano is hilarious trying to explain to the girl about what a certain porn video and book look like! And Massu is kind of sweet at the end when he stares at the girl and says "Girls are beautiful."

Shige sniffing the girl's hair for so long cracked me up! And I loved how Kusano kept wanting the girl to wipe him or pinch him (and the way he gave her candy for free!) I still don't get why no one was more concerned when Tegoshi came back covered in grime and blood, but maybe guys just don't notice that sort of thing?!  Maybe it's a girl thing to want to know why your friend looks like he's been in a war...!?

Tego lies on the ground and stares at bugs, then sometimes gets up and stabs people in the eyes or punches them! We also get to hear Massu's rock songs called "Imagine It" and "Baiser (Kiss)" which have really dumb lyrics (one of them sounds like a complete rip-off of a Beatles song)!

I'm dumb and forgot to cut out the little ad part near the end of the clip about Aiba's stageshow (that I didn't translate because I'd planned on cutting it out!) Sorry about that. I think I can safely blame my dumbness on this clip. Watching this is a sure-fire way to kill a few brain cells. It has to have one of the worst scripts ever!

My favorite part was when that lady from "Who's Yamapi's Mom?" clip suddenly appeared!

Highlights: The story itself is pretty interesting, but the best part has to be the typical Kanjani8 actions. Yasuda gets caught by his mom as he forces Ohkura on the bed and begins to molest him!!! And I'm not even kidding! It's true!!! Watch for yourself if you don't believe me!

Highlights: The clip starts and stops very suddenly, but I think that's how it's supposed to be. Watch cute little round-faced Massu (who looks exactly the same as always) squeak his way through his lines in the script in an adorably high-pitched voice. The story itself is pretty freaky (and a little vague. I'm still not entirely sure if I understand the plot myself!)

"Kowai Nichiyoubi (Scary Sunday)" were three series of mini dramas aired 1999 to 2000. They starred many Johnnys Jrs.

Highlights: T&T made this little mini drama to go with their latest song. It's about Tackey as an angel who watches over a blind girl. Tsubasa is the girl's childhood friend who is trying to get her to leave the house. It's one of those tear-jerking dramas that I love. T&T are good actors and it was little JE dramas like this that got me hooked deeply on JE years ago. (Oh and to whoever it was that came up with this little mini drama: You failed! Instead of getting me hooked on the Koi Uta song, it has me humming only the melody to it, then halfway through a few bars I start singing "Grandfather's Clock" instead!!)

Highlights: Tackey's reaction when Erika starts unbuttoning her shirt in front of him is so classic!!! It's worth watching this episode just to see that part!! Ha ha~ Anyway, the plot of this story revolves around mystery crop circles, UFO sightings, memory loss and strange marks left on peoples' necks. You'll have to watch the next episode to see how the story ends.

Highlights: In my opinion, this is the scariest episode yet! "Look me in the eye" will take on a whole new meaning after watching this! You'll also find yourself looking suspisciously at anyone whose hand in balled up into a fist! It is set in a hospital and there is a lack of dialogue as almost the entire time is taken up with scary music or people screaming/moaning! Ah~~~!!!!

Highlights: Groundhog Day!! If you've seen that movie, then you should have a good idea of the plot of this episode. It gets kind of irritating after a while, but the end is kind of surprising. Finally Erika says "I love you" to one of the boys.
Watch and find out who she says it to (both Tackey & Tsubasa have huge crushes on her, so whose heart will be broken?) and see his reaction to her declaration of love.

"Budou no Ki (Grapevine)" (7 Nov, 2003)

Highlights: This is a very moving (read: tear-jerking!) special one-off drama about people who become foster parents and the kids they take into their family. It is an excellent drama (just ignore the first 10 minutes where they lecture a bit as they try to educate the Japanese public about foster care.) Yamapi plays the teenage foster child role and he is excellent as a deliquent (I guess he was probably going through that phase in real life at the time too!)  I really recommend this drama - but make sure you keep a box of tissues handy as I don't think anyone could ever watch it without crying. I want to tell you my highlights, but I don't want to ruin the story too much, so let me just say that I loved Yamapi's letter to his parents near the end of the drama.
