There's also proof that they're Johnnys when they all do back flips.

V6's "Sorezore no Sora" short film (Nov 2005)

Tsuyoshi even asks what Ken wants to do with those older women (O.O) but maybe the reason he doesn't know the answer without having to ask is because him & Okada are homosexuals (That's what Koichi calls them in this episode!!) Later Tsuyoshi is asked to teach about acrobatics, but it is Okada that gets flipped over like a toy (which was freaky to watch!) They also sing "Shima Uta" which is one of my favorite older Japanese songs.

Highlights: We get to take a look back on what TOKIO were doing in 2008 and see that all Johnnys leaders seem to be quite similar (Slack!) Then V6's Okada shows photos he took of the members backstage before the show acting "normal." V6 & TOKIO perform songs which I don't like so I watched the performances with a bit of a grimace on my face. I hope they'll release some songs that are more my taste next year.

I may do the Kanjani part over the weekend if I feel in the mood (because it's short & probably easy to sub) but I won't bother doing the Arashi part as I'm sure 2 or 3 Arashi fansubbers will release (or have already released?) their own versions, so there's hardly any need for me to sub it as well.

Highlights: V6 are on a summer vacation trip. They have to take a photo titled "V6 reaffirm their bond at a school at night." They go in pairs into an old abandoned school where there are 9 traps laid to scare them. Watching their reactions is priceless! Don't worry, it's not really very scary (for those of us just watching it! I'm sure it would be a different matter if we were the ones actually going through that school at night!) In fact, I haven't laughed this much in ages! Watching all the members copy Sakamoto's way of holding his chest like he's trying to make a hand bra is one of the best parts~!

Since LJ freaked me out with it's Undead layout thing, I figured I might as well get into the Halloween spirit too. (And I'm celebrating finally completing the Sports Day by subbing something I want to instead of something requested!  It was a very quick one to sub, because there was very little talking, just lots of "Ahhh!!!"s and laughter!)

"Johnnys Sports Event 2003" Backstage - after + physical ability tests

Highlights: This is the part where they spend the first 20 minutes interviewing everyone & saying bye, then they do the  physical check up tests to see their strength and flexibilty (or lack of strength and flexibility...!) I found most of it a bit dull. But I did like where Sakurai introduced Arashi's "hope for the future" *lol* Once again Tsuyoshi stole the show with his comments (Desert!) but this time it seemed like he was trying a bit too hard to be the star. And maybe I think too hard, but I liked looking at the results of their lung capacity to try to guess who were smokers and who weren't at this time.

"The Shounen Club Premium" (19 Oct, 2008) Ueda Tatsuya (KAT-TUN)

Highlights: Ueda talks about his "rock" character (which Jin disapproved of), his "I can see fairies" character (which Taichi loved!!) and his "dancing queen" character (when he tried to be like Tsubasa).  He also talks about what made him & Kame throw punches at each other (and I think Kame deserved to be hit! I probably would've reacted the same way Ueda did!). I loved Okada's video message so much~! "I kind of vaguely have a feeling that I may have possibly, once, at some stage, maybe spoken to Ueda about something...?"  When I heard Ueda was going to be the guest, I tried to think who they could get to do the video message, because Ueda doesn't do any dramas or seem to have anything to do with any other Johnnys guys. I never would've guessed they'd choose Okada to do it~!

Highlights: You get to watch Johnnys boys run relay races (which were the best part!) then play soccer and baseball. (The baseball thing is so random! How many Johnnys fans really like baseball?! Probably very few!) Inohara's smile during batting at baseball was funny!  And I must say that Kame & Nino looked very sexy when they were pitching! They looked so determined. I loved KinKi's Tsuyoshi being the only man in Japan who cries after losing at rock-scissors-paper! And his funny antics/comments throughout the entire show. The event begins and ends with medleys of JE songs.
Note: There are backstage before & after the event clips too, but I haven't subbed them yet. I had a feeling that someone else either had subbed it or had it on their project list. I'll check around and make sure they haven't been subbed before, and if not, then I'll work on them over the next 2 weeks and hopefully have them ready to release by the end of September.

By the way, as I was subbing this, I realized that I've never watched a baseball match commentated in English before (they play cricket where I come from!) so please excuse any weird wording I may have used! I've only ever heard baseball commentated in Japanese or Korean before! And I haven't seen any English commentated soccer matches in years either. I vaguely remember watching some English League games years ago, so my translations may have weird British phrases thrown in. I think I really need to make more of an effort to watch more English TV from now on!

I love the trust the members have in each other - like when Okada has to do a flip off Nagano's shoulders to begin his solo part! Absolutely amazing stuff~!!
